In 1598, a young girl witnessed the destruction of a Shiva temple from her window. Turning to her father for answers, he sadly explained that it was the Mughal army, and they were powerless to intervene, my dear.
Fast forward to 1610 AD, the same woman, now married, watched as a Rama temple near her home met a similar fate. She turned to her husband, feeling a surge of frustration, only to hear the same resigned response: "They are the Mughal army, and there's nothing we can do."
Then, in 1646, hosting relatives at her home, she once again witnessed the demolition of a nearby Bhavani temple. This time, she looked at her 16-year-old son, silently conveying her hopes and fears. Little did she know, that son would grow up to be Chatrapati Shivaji, the valiant Maratha ruler who would stand up against the Mughal oppressors and bring justice to his people.
