Ephemeral Clarity ...12.04.2024

svp292

After listening to Nirvana Shatkam by Adi Guru Shankaracharya and the discourse by Garikapati, the transient nature of the body and mind, along with other associated elements, becomes clearer to me. However, the understanding of the Atma still eludes me. Sages and saints possess clarity on both fronts - questions and answers. I, on the other hand, am filled with questions but lack answers, while they possess answers without questions.

Despite knowing the ephemeral nature of things, why do I hesitate to fully embrace vairagya (detachment)? It's akin to understanding something's falsehood yet being unable to renounce it, especially when external influences hold sway over our reasoning, and we find ourselves weakened by our own vulnerabilities.
